Pink Full Moon Bath Ritual by Kai Camillo
June 7, 2020In the southern part of the world where tribes like mine gathered to observe lunar phases; to us this, part of the year was associated to autumn harvesting, binding totems, and singing praise to the gods of nature as they hide back in the earth. In the western hemisphere the Pink moon was inspired by several aspects of folklore tales, the return of geese, divining fish surfacing in lakes, but mostly attributed to the blossoming of wild Phlox. Phlox has many magickal properties and is a sign of amorous renewal as spring reclaims its power over the land.
What it means for the psyche is transformation of what is being seeded now, and their cycles of changes that challenge, fortify, and nurture till this time next year.
To honour my heritage and travels in both my side of the world and the States, I have decided to venerate the l’esprit of life, death, & rebirth in a full moon ritual to let the cosmic forces know I wish to join in the celebration as we head toward May and the orgy of brighter days.
I have partnered with Fire and Lux as a signifier of two seperate traditions wherein our differences of geographical perspectives are in fact strengthened by opposites, joining together to empower the contrast. As in the sun kissing the western hemisphere while also saluting the southern equators journey into their lunar phase of autumn.
In this way we are embracing both the Light of our consciousness & the Dark of its unconsciousness singing & dancing together.
If you would like to dance with us a list of instructions are as follows for our Pink Moon Lunar Bath:
An annointed bath ran of rose or bergamot infused oils covers two sides of the same coin.
(Lavender or Jasmine as substitutes.)
Fresh or dried flowers of your choosing to accompany the l’esprit bath are welcome!
(Phlox, Violets, or Marigolds)
Pink salts to honour the moon and black salts to honour the southern hempishere as one can use the fullmoon bath as a way of self healing but also acknowledgement of what must go.
Incense to strengthen the aromatic bonds of light & shadow are amber, sandalwood, honeysuckle, dragonsblood, or copal.
Gemstones can be added such as rose quartz and snowflake obsidian to act as balance of Earths internal transformation and your own journey.
Florida water or witchhazel as a body rinse or spritz to prepare the body for the bath as a purifying agent. Pink candles or White can be incorporated to call in amorous, brighter énergies.
And lastly your spoken hearts intention to the water acting as the tides of Le Lune Herself such as “ Gathered here a council of elements to act as armor & witness, let my old self be relieved of its burdens and be washed away.
Step Into Bath:
“And with this lunar magick I am reborn anew, I submerge in the Moonshadow yet rise by the Day.”
