Mercury X Gemini 2021 By: Erin The Urban Mermaid
May 5, 2021Well, FireandLux Fam, May has A LOT going in the cosmos! Beginning on May 3rd, Mercury will station in Gemini which it rules over, making this a VERY potent placement and an energetically charged-up time. Mercury will be moving slow and staying in Gemini all the way until July 27th. And take head, Mercury will also go retrograde during this time, but more on that later in the month!
Gemini is ruled by Mercury and together the two rule the third house, the “House of Communication”. You all pretty much understand by now Mercury rules over our communication, processing of information and our consciousness. While Mercury in Taurus was asking us to be more slow and mindful in regards to matters of communication, Gemini is the total opposite, so this will be quite the shift.
I always like to refer to Gemini as the Tinkerbelle of the Zodiac, fluttering around from group to group, being social, chatting it up, having a good time, charming everyone, but never quite going too deep. They are the social butterflies. Their sharp wit and quick sense of humor goes unmatched. They are the trendsetters- the Jones’s to be kept up with, so to speak. I actually love all of this for us because at this point, we all deserve to be enjoying ourselves and Gemini is good for that!
Now, if we learned anything from Mercury in Taurus, it was to think before we speak, because that will be the greatest challenge while Mercury is in Gemini.
We want to avoid engaging in the lower vibrations this placement comes with, like gossip, being indecisive, fickle or two faced. If we can get a hold of this, things will be all good. In fact, this transit will have us full of BIG ideas and plans and a lot of mental energy!
Just be weary of mental burnout that is very common during this transit as it is so potent. And Gemini sometimes does not have an OFF button. So don’t forget to conserve your energy and remember resting does not mean restlessness.
Mercury will go Retrograde at the end of May throwing us a bit of a curveball during this planetary station. But fear not, Karo and I will have a whole blog for you on that to come 🙂
