Praise From a Child of Saturn

“The world immense in everlasting chains,

Strong and ineffable thy pow’r contains” -Hymns of Orpheus

Fearsome Saturn, thank you for elevating the boundaries necessary for me to live a fruitful life.

Bind my enemies to grounds that I do not tread.

Let them lick the dust before they begin to speak ill upon my kingdom.

Let them be fettered by your unyielding chains so as to not come close to my domain.

Under your gravity, my adversaries are crushed.

Formidable lord, you’ve blessed me with the wisdom and discipline to attain all that I desire.

Through the tumult, you’ve shown what confines me and gave me strength to obliterate the bondage of self-limiting credence. Destitution transmuted into sublimity.

Your love has been undying and fraternal—you ensure my lessons are learnt and that my true yearnings manifest accordingly.

You are time immemorial and your sober conduct reminds me that I am only mortal.

Beloved Saturn, you shine light on facets of my life that require a stronger foundation—you’ve shown me that Rome was truly not built in a day.

Watchful giant, you protect your children evermore and continue to bless them with a life of longevity and of penetrating discernment.

Under your aegis, we reap what we sow.
