Libra Season 2021 By: Erin The Urban Mermaid
September 23, 2021We have a very energetically charged Libra season ahead of us, FireandLux Fam! Ironic, as Libra is very chill by nature!
This year, Libra season begins on September 22nd, 2021, the same day as the Autumn Equinox (where the hours of day and night are even, how very Libra!) and Mabon, and the sun will stay here until October 22nd, 2021.
Let’s go a little deeper with Libra. . .
I always say Libra is the easiest and most likeable sign of the Zodiac. She is one of the Divine Feminine signs, ruled by Venus, and together they rule the 7th house, the “House of Relationships”.
Libra is a Cardinal Air sign, meaning they take action based on communication and consciousness. She thrives in harmony, balance and symmetry. Look at your Libra friends. They are usually the most chic and put together. Libra loves beauty, appreciates the arts, is social and charming, extremely kind and pleasant, and often eccentric- which I personally love!
Libra also believes in justice and fairness. If you have a Libra friend, they are great to go to for advice because they see all points of view. Libra really does best in groups and partnerships, working and playing well with others.
Libra does have a few deep shadows to explore. For starters, codependency. Libra just does not like to be alone. They are always in relationships and are the friend who doesn’t like to run an errand alone. While we admire their kindness and diplomacy, it seems from a deep rooted fear of not being liked. This creates people pleasing behavior, which has no boundaries and often Libra ends up hurt or inconvenienced because they don’t want anyone not to like them. They can also be terribly indecisive, narcissistic, shallow and avoid conflict at all costs including lies and manipulation.
If we want to make the most out of this Libra season, we can piggyback off of Virgo’s order and organization. But in regards to creating harmony in our life and spaces, beautifying, and bringing more balance to our life, try taking a moderate approach to things or an 80/20, which basically means behaving 80% of the time and indulging 20%. Make sure all your work is done before you go out and be social. This way it is rewarding to you and you don’t feel guilty.
Take a look around you. What can you do to bring in more personal harmony? The more we are in harmony with our divine rhythms, the higher we vibrate and we connect back to our inner lights.
It is also a time to be showing ourselves grace and compassion.
Romance can also be in the air. Libra likes their relationships to be equal. Perhaps that means finding a balance between time with your partner or dating, alone time, time with family and work.
A few things to pay attention to in the cosmos this Libra season: Mercury Retrograde, which we will have some info and tips for you next week. Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto will all end their retrogrades – which also means at one point during Libra season we have 5 planets in retrograde (buckle up! it’s time for endings!), a Libra New moon and an Aries Full Moon.
