FireandLux fam, are we ready for Scorpio season? The most fiery of water signs, often mistaken for a fire sign, intense, brooding, deep and mysterious, Scorpio season has arrived.

The Sun is in Scorpio from October 23rd – November 21st and there is a whole lot going down this season. . .

Ya know how last Sun cycle I said “Libra is the easiest sign of the Zodiac”, welp, Scorpio might be the most complex!

Scorpio is the 8th sign of the Zodiac, ruled by the Lord of the Underworld, Pluto.

Together, Pluto and Scorpio rule the 8th house, the “House of Transformation”. Scorpio is a fixed water sign. They are the growers and the builders who carry out the plans usually based on emotions. Scorpios are known as the investigators of the Zodiac – ready to go deep and get to the heart of the matter. You can’t hide shit from a Scorpio!

The sign of Scorpio comes with depth. They are not here for anything surface level. They may seem very hard to break, but once you gain the trust of a Scorpio, they will be loyal to the very core.

An extremely intelligent and profound sign, known also for their sharp wit, Scorpio’s smarts are unmatched. They have a natural interest and inclination toward the shadow side, the occult, the spiritual and the metaphysical. If this isn’t apparent immediately, it is something that will awaken over time.

Believe it or not, deep down Scorpio is driven by a need for intimacy. They are sensitive souls, highly intuitive with a perpetual need to find the truth. Scorpio is also a very sexy, sexual sign, intertwining your deepest desires with sensual passion.

The shadow side of Scorpio is pretty well known. They even have kind of a reputation for it. They are the sign of extremes. I often compare it to a pendulum swing, experiencing the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows. They don’t really leave room for the gray areas.

Beware of a Scorpio scorned. That is where they get the nickname the “Scorpion Stinger” from, because they will sting you! They truly value their privacy but can border on being full on secretive, which appears shady to others.

Scorpios are quite obsessive, quite moody and don’t forget anything! So do not think they will let go of the fact that on June 3rd, 2019 you were gonna call them at 5pm and you didn’t! They will remind you of this forever! Scorpio also knows their power to heal as well as to hurt. And an unhealed Scorpio will likely choose vengeance.

Now that we are familiar with the ins and outs, what can we expect this Scorpio season?

And so inward we must go . . .

This is always a good season to self-reflect and go deep with yourself.

The shadow work is a necessary part of your personal metamorphosis, which is the essence of Scorpio. If you want to transform, you must be willing to self-assess, reflect, release and surrender in order to become that Phoenix that rises or to have your butterfly moment.

In the tarot, the Death card is Scorpio energy signifying what we must end in order to be reborn again. Our emotions might seem demanding. It is important we don’t drown in our obsession.

We must learn to take a bird’s eye view of our feelings, observe them and remember they are just visitors and will pass. They do not have to consume us.

It is also a time to be exploring our sexual lust and desires. A time to get intimate on every level with ourselves and another. This is also a good season to be exploring the occult, the metaphysical and the spiritual. Perhaps learning more in depth or a new modality: take up tarot, create a new alter and hone your craft.
