On July 23, 2022, we leave our introverted emotions in Cancer season and move on to express what’s in and on our hearts in Leo season, where the Sun will stay until about August 22, 2022.

Leo the Lion, ruled by the Sun, is the 5th sign in the Zodiac.
- Leo is a Fixed Fire sign, so they are a grower and a builder, following their hearts and taking inspired action.
Together, Leo and the Sun rule the 5th house, the “House of Pleasure”. This includes all things
- fun
- exciting and enjoyable
- as well our creative self-expression
- children
- our ego
- our character
- and how we bloom
Leo is truly the heart of the Zodiac, they are warm, generous and loving.
Leo also has a flair for the spotlight, I always say “I can always spot the Leo in the room.”
- They are quite literally outstanding.
- They love attention, love the focus on them.
- Like their fire sign counterparts, they are passionate, fiery, feisty, energetic, optimistic, confident, go-getters, inspired and inspirational, natural leaders, and quite magnetic.
- They have a bit of a royal caliber to their energy and certainly love the finer things in life.
Leo can also be a bit childish: For better meaning they are playful and innocent, or worse meaning they can be bratty.
When out of alignment Leo can be selfish, only think of themselves as the center of the Universe (much like their ruler the Sun), and not be able to see beyond themselves.
They aren’t malicious and never mean it. They can also be dramatic and allow that need for attention to turn into a need for validation.
How will the Sun being in its home affect us?
Even if you aren’t a Leo Sun, the Sun itself is at its strongest and most vital position giving us all that extra boost of energy we need and lighting a much-needed fire in our hearts to just GO FOR IT.
This Leo season I strongly encourage us all to get back in touch with our inner child.
- Try playing, singing, dancing, being creative, just honoring that childlike innocence and allowing it to have its time to shine.
- Have some damn fun!
- Do what you enjoy, what makes you happy and brings you pleasure.
Speaking of our hearts, what’s on yours?
It is time to express yourself. No more throat or heart chakra blocks. We are owning and embodying our truest heartfelt nature.
Another perk of the Sun being at home is a little boost to our confidence.
- We feel more brave, more inspired, more in our elements.
Think of the Lion, the leader of the pact. He stands proud, he is the center of attention, he flexes on everyone and rules his pride with certainty and a luxurious mane 😉
I also encourage using the sun and fire in magickal rituals you may be doing AND sun gazing!
Not only is the Sun the OG of all healers, light codes are a divine download. Also on this tip, focus on yourself this season, your own journey.
And of course, there are shadows, even when we are talking about the Sun.
- That EGO is #1. Don’t let the shadows of the ego like control, power, being right, being forceful take you out of your heart and get stuck in your head.
- You are your only issue during this season. As well, *cough cough*, let’s watch the selfishness.
- Caring for yourself is super and well needed, but not seeing and honoring others needs is not cool.
- Pride is one of the 7 deadly sins for a reason and it stems from that ego!
- Also, read this over and over fam: NOBODY LIKES A DRAMA QUEEN! We’re too grown to be back up on that BS. Let’s just leave it.
