I can hardly believe we are here already for 2023, but it is once again eclipse season! And I know we say this every eclipse season, but this one is going to be quite IMPACTFUL.

We are gearing up for a shift in the nodes from the Taurus/Scorpio axis to the Aries/Libra axis in just a few months and these eclipses are shaking things up for us to prepare for this.

Let’s just get into it all, shall we Fam?

Eclipse energy starts a few weeks before the actual eclipse event and can trickle on for several months thereafter where we can feel the impact. The best way for me to describe this is, while you may feel a shift on the actual eclipse day, it’s not usually until much after you see and feel its effects. Hindsight is 20/20 ya know?

The first eclipse of this year is rare and therefore making it a powerful one.

On April 19/20 we have a hybrid solar eclipse which is very rare because it will change in appearance as the Moon’s shadow moves over and across the Earth’s surface and is a unique combination of a total and annular eclipse.

A fiery ring will be created around the moon that will be stunning. Sadly, the eclipse itself will not be visible from North America, only from the lower western regions of Earth.

This eclipse will occur at 29 degrees in the sign of Aries during the second New Moon of the year.

Second chances at new beginnings is a huge theme here.

And, the 29th degree is very critical, it is the last degree before the flip over to the next sign or house.

Because the first Aries moon was in the infant of degrees and this is the very last, it tells us more of your story is to be revealed.

Leading up to this may be feelings of uncertainty or unfinished business, so it is important to be very honest with yourself during these times. We know eclipses are here to rock our world and give us those much needed yet dreaded Tower moments.

Now, currently, the nodes are still in Taurus and Scorpio but these eclipses are pushing it out and closing that karmic chapter.

The underlying themes or what we are meant to learn involve our self-worth, self-value, breaking old habits and rewriting our stories in regards to finances and wealth, and really putting a hard stop to self-sabotaging patterns and behaviors, particularly monetarily.
It’s time to rewrite your story with Ten of Pentacles vibes, financial abundance and stability and consistency built off of your own financial organization, aligned decision making and trusting yourself.
Given the fixed nature of these two signs, you may feel really stuck. I always try to remind myself in transits like these “resist, persits” be open.
Solar eclipses, like this one, tend to mess with our outside world like money, homes, careers, and possessions.

The second eclipse will occur on May 5, 2023 during the Scorpio full moon.

Run, hide, put the covers over your head and stay in bed – if you haven’t been doing your release and surrender work.

Scorpio is the most complex sign of the zodiac, so its lessons are much more intense and undeniable.

This will be a Lunar eclipse, seeing Scorpio out, but will focus more on our internal worlds.
This is final and fateful – DID. YOU. LEARN. THE. LESSONS. SCORPIO. WAS. TEACHING?
Getting out of your head, releasing control, surrendering, trusting yourself and the Divine, being more grounded????

These truly are some of the tougher lessons to learn. We will see how the pendulum swings for us all doing the work.

Some advice for during eclipse season:

The energy is unpredictable.
Don’t put your crystals out or anything like that.
Focus on grounding and cleansing practices, breath work and yoga are great, try not to make huge life altering decisions especially because Mercury Rx will be starting and just take things as they come.
I always say minute by minute as things arise and check in with yourself.
A healthy level of self-awareness is your BFF.

Remember – change is not bad, it is necessary for our growth. Change also doesn’t happen overnight. This is a spiritual sprint not a marathon!
