This time we’ve got Mars, our action planet, in Virgo. Starting July 29, 2021, Mars will be in Virgo and stay there until September 14, 2021. This transit is here to help you get your shit together, and we aren’t mad about that!
By nature Virgo is a sign that thrives in organization, cleanliness and routines, and no one is better to whip us into shape!
Virgo is the 6th sign of the Zodiac, ruled by Mercury. Together the two rule the 6th house, the “House of Health”. She is a mutable Earth sign and this means she is more flexible and adaptable when it comes to material and tangible matters. Chaos, clutter, lies, things not in order, impurity, junk, and mess are not the friend of Virgo by any means. She is a perfectionist and natural born healer. Her secret super power, as a logical and analytical sign, is the ability to take concepts, thoughts, ideas, people, situations and whatever else and take them apart and break them down so they are understandable.
Virgo’s achilles heel is being constantly disappointed that no one, including herself, can reach her impossible standards – hello perfectionist! As well as being way too hard on herself.
Mars, as we’ve come to understand, is our action planet. He rules over Aries and together they both shed light on our personal identities since they rule the first house. Mars is our basic human nature, carnal instincts, urges, deep desires and our Divine Masculine. He can be aggressive and impulsive but also has a noble, warrior spirit to him.
It may seem off to have such a powerful masculine planet hanging out in a softer more feminine sign, but this can work to our benefit.
This is an ideal time for us to get stuff done! Make some to-do lists, form the best way and most efficient way to get stuff done – we are going to be a bunch of task rabbits! The other good thing is we will be very thorough and meticulous about getting things done, so it is not a time to half ass anything! If you’re anything like me, when I get a bunch of little things done and done well and can check off my list, it’s almost better than getting through one big thing! We truly are feeling the productive vibes for this transit.
A few shadows to keep your third eye open for include: obsessing, overdoing it, burn out and perfection.
Let’s all agree perfection does not exist and it does no good at all to beat yourself up over this. Because Virgo is all about the details, they easily get carried away and when you add Mar’s energy, obsessing can take over. Try to remember to take deep breaths and slow down. Virgo may lean more toward feminine energy but she is certainly a busy one!
A heads up, around September 2nd Mars in Virgo will oppose Neptune in Pisces (Virgo and Pisces are each other’s opposite) and the energy may feel stagnant and uncertain.
This is a good time to go inward and focus on self-care. Don’t worry about anyone else’s energy but your own. Don’t let that nasty dark entity of comparison get the best of you. And don’t forget Venus is still in Virgo and it is rare the two are in the same sign at once. This is very strong energy itself, particularly in the love and sex department.
