As of November 24^th, 2021, Mercury has moved itself out of the in depth sign of Scorpio and into optimistic and passionate Sagittarius where it will stay until December 13^th, 2021.

Although Mercury is considered at its weakest point in Sag, or its detriment, that is not at all a bad thing.

Who doesn’t love Sagittarius?

The 9th sign of the Zodiac, the lucky sign, ruled by the big planet of Jupiter is known to be optimistic, light, free spirited and a lover of a good time! As a mutable fire sign, they are very passionate and are quite flexible and adaptable in nature.

Sagittarius and Jupiter rule the 9th house, the “House of Higher Knowledge” because Sag is the learner of the Zodiac. When in alignment, they are like an opened crown chakra, ready to absorb all the ancient and esoteric wisdom, learn through experience- particularly travel and adventure and in turn, they teach.

Their secret superpower is being able to see the bigger picture of things.

They are motivated, have lots of energy, go-getters and expansive in many ways. But no sign is without its shadows. A Sag not in alignment can be judgmental, preachy, dogmatic, careless, restless, blunt and commitment phobes.

If you don’t want the truth served up on a silver platter, don’t talk to a Sag, especially someone with a Mercury in Sag.

Speaking of Mercury, I think we all have gotten pretty familiar with this small planet that likes to cause lots of upheaval.

Mercury is our planet of communication. It rules over Gemini and Virgo, hence why it is in its detriment in Sagittarius, Gemini’s sister sign. As well as being as large as Jupiter is, Mercury is just a little thing. Mercury focuses on the details of things, daily schedules, tasks, routines, short or local travel, written and spoken words, breaking down thoughts and processing ideas and is all about being in the head.

So will Mercury in Sagittarius throw us all for a loop?

Not exactly. As I said, Mercury in its detriment isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s time to expand your visions.

Think BIG! Now more than ever you will have courage to pursue your beliefs and the conviction to stand firm in them.

Your innermost charm and wit will be at the forefront when it comes to communication. Tell stories that will expand other’s minds and get them thinking in ways they hadn’t explored before. You might be feeling a bit sassy, Sag is a smart little fire sign!

But be wary of hurting feelings, Sag is soooo direct and often does not take others’ feelings into account when communicating, they are too busy keeping it real.

I’d say the best part of this transit is being able to tap into your inner comedian! Sag is hilarious and likes to spread the cheer!

You may also find yourself quite enthusiastic to learn and acquire some new knowledge. It is very easy for Sag to look over the details of things as they always see the bigger picture, so make sure you are slowing down and not passing this over.

Also important to remember – not everyone shares your viewpoint and that is okay. No need to become preachy or dogmatic. And don’t forget to check yourself when you find yourself becoming impatient when others are “slower” than you. The more mindfulness we can find in ourselves and the more we can slow down, the smoother this will go for us all.
