Sagittarius Season 2023: Erin The Urban Mermaid

From the depths of the underworld of Scorpio season we emerge and are greeted with the fire within us – Sagittarius season.

The Sun will be in Sag from November 22nd until December 21st, and it is happy to be here!

Let’s unpack. . .

Sagittarius is the 9th sign of the Zodiac ruled by Big Daddy Jupes aka Jupiter.
Together, Jupiter and Sag rule the 9th house, the “House of Higher Knowledge” which is an expansive house that includes expansion itself!

Sagittarius is a mutable Fire sign who loves change and flow and simply just existing.

There’s lots to love about fun loving Sag.
Sag is positive, humorous, optimistic, fun, enjoys learning through all sorts of experiences, trying things they never tried before, travel, culture, inspiration is the fuel that lights their fire, authentic to the very core and they are ten toes down.
Sag is the crown chakra of the zodiac, super tapped into other realms. They set their sights way beyond the horizons and are all about growth.
At best Sag is a wise owl, tapped into information and messages from higher realms, they are the gurus and the teachers because they are the eternal students.
They are also the lucky ones of the zodiac thanks to their ruler Jupiter.

But it’s not all fun times and jet setting…we cannot forget the shadows.

Because Sag is ruled by Jupiter, excess tends to be a big issue.
Whether it’s overdoing it and burning out, not having a middle ground or excess like spending, drugs, sugar or alcohol- when they are in their shadows this is where they turn to.
They are also known to be careless (especially at the mouth), reckless, loud, overly frank with their words, and overlook the little details. In short they will bull doze over things and not even give AF.
They can also be judgmental and preachy, even to the point of being dogmatic.

Here’s the thing…The zodiac is absolutely perfect, so Scorpio season “backed” us with the tools we need to come into an aligned Sag season.

Scorpio had us go deep within ourselves so we could expand outward and ascend upward in this upcoming season.

Besides having fun, which is underrated these days, this is a season of openness and enlightenment.
It’s taking the understanding of self you learned in Scorpio season and integrating it and embodying your authentic self boldly and bravely.
This is a season of learning, so traveling, freedom, going on an adventure, trying something new whether it’s a food or a sport, reading a philosophical book, taking a kundalini yoga class – but using this higher knowledge for the greater good, which is sharing and teaching.

Sag also lives to be inspired, that’s what motivates them and lights that fire in their soul.

Be open to finding inspiration anywhere you are and in any way. Let it be your creative drive.

And probably the most underrated quality of this season when used appropriately?

Sag does not give AF what anyone else thinks or speaks of them. This is a strength we could all take notes from, because they do not seek outside validation from others which is a huge ego flaw. Sag is always gonna do their own thang!

As for the shadows, as much as we want to dream big and grow grow grow – we must remember not to overlook the little details.

Sag is known to bull doze over things again, while not really giving AF (not how we want to embody this quality!) which tends to lead to things getting chaotic or messed up or hurt feelings.
Same with that reckless mouth, let the thoughts process before you speak. It’s one thing to not sugar coat stuff but it’s another to be an unaware ass about it.

And while the world def needs more of the Sagittarius optimism, there is such a thing as blind optimism or being delulu, so please try to stay grounded and centered in reality too.

Preachy and judgmental? Knock it off or humble pie will be served at the next holiday dinner 😉

Finally, Sag can have an MO of being non-committal, and while exploring the world, people, places, whatever it is absolutely super- you have to find roots at some point. In fact, deep down every Sag longs to be rooted, just not trapped.
