Eclipse Season Spring 2024 by Erin The Urban Mermaid

It has rolled around once again, the infamous eclipse season, with a lot of buzz around these two impactful eclipses in the sister signs of Libra and Aries.

Now, before we go any further, this is a reminder, eclipses happen every 6 months, their energy can last for the next 6 months and that no matter what happens during eclipse season, somehow- it is for your highest and best!

The first eclipse that is being talked so much about is the penumbral lunar eclipse in the Libra full moon. Now the hype is coming from the fact that this eclipse will be visible across North America which is a rare occurrence. You’ll have to be awake at the witching hour tho, because it will happen in the wee morning hours.

Eclipses amplify the already powerful energy of the moon herself. They tend to bring massive tower moments or upheaval so we can make the necessary changes in our lives.

As for this Libra eclipse, we know when the moon is full, we should be releasing, not manifesting… (important note: manifesting and intention setting is not encouraged during eclipse season due to the wonky energy. It is a time rather for surrendering and releasing) … but focusing on letting go of attachments particularly ones where we give away our personal power, sovereignty and identity.

This could mean romantic relationships that need to die or perhaps business partnerships that are no longer in alignment. But the key is there’s someone else involved, not just you.

So, this will require a deep level of self-awareness and honesty. Essentially what stems from this is a climax, middle ground or maturation of sorts that began with the New Moon Solar Eclipse in October 2023 in Libra.

What has changed? What still needs to change?

So, if you are looking to be liberated from your karmic relationship ties, this be that time!

And on the flip side, because astrology must be symmetrical, we have the New Moon Total Solar eclipse in powerful Aries on April 8th.

This is a call to courage, leadership, bravery, personal power and getting things put into action.
This is a VERY interesting moon and eclipse and even signs for these eclipses to occur in during an “election year” in a Scorpio 8 year. (note that 😉

Chiron, our planet that represents our emotional core wounds is in Aries and will also be impacted.

This is a call to take those deep, honest reflective looks in the mirror and embrace change with your heart and soul.
“Stuff” will undoubtedly arise and come to the surface, probably quite painful but it’s because you must deal with it and in a different way that you’ve done in the past in order to grow as an individual.

If you can stay open and most importantly, grounded, and take the stance “this is working out for me” even while things seem to just be crumbling away – this crazy energy will not take you out.
